Good morning graduating Lancers and families,

Here is some important information regarding DCI Convocation 2026. Three important things to note:

1. Date of DCI Convocation 2026: Friday, June 26th
2. Venue: Dakota Collegiate-Murray Field or school gymnasium (weather dependent).
3. There are two plans (A and B), depending on the weather. The final decision will be made 24 hours prior and communicated via website, email, and social media.

PLAN A: if the weather is GOOD--Convocation is outside ALL TOGETHER.

• ALL graduates will be on Murray Field for the ceremony. 
• The start time is 9:00 am for all graduates. Graduate arrival time is 8:00 am.
• Please remember to bring your cap and gown.

PLAN B: if the weather is BAD (rain/storm)--Convocation is inside by POD/Time slot.

• Students will convocate according to their assigned POD, as we cannot fit all graduates and families into the gymnasium. Please arrive one hour prior and remember your cap and gown.
• POD 1: 9 am (Graduate arrival time is 8:00 am)
• POD 2: 12:30 pm (Graduate arrival time is 11:30 am)
• POD 3: 4 pm (Graduate arrival time is 3:00 pm)

We will make a decision whether we're doing an outdoor or indoor convocation on June 25th, and all graduates will be notified then.

OTHER NOTES:

• Refreshments will be available for grads and guests.
• Please bring a hat and sunscreen for sun protection.

Parking: 

• Due to construction and traffic congestion in the area, it is STRONGLY advised to allow extra travel time to ensure a timely arrival.
• The DCI parking lot is available to all guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Once full, it will close. It will be closed to all through traffic at 8:45 am. If you plan to drop off guests with accessibility needs, please do so before 8:45 am.
• It is strongly advised NOT to park at the former Family Foods lot. They have indicated that they will tow, and no announcements will be made during the convocation ceremony.
• St. Vital Mall and street parking are the options recommended beyond the DCI parking lot.
